At 8:00 a.m. on May 9,TeamEnvironmental Police of Nghe An Public Securitycheckdiscovered at the processing facility of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (born in 1965), residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Hai Commune, Dien Chau District, there were 500 boxes of finished jellyfish weighing 3.5 tons and 1 quintal of jellyfish soaked in a tank.

During the processing, Ms. Nga used a white powder. She confessed that this powder was alum, the origin and place of production were unknown. The purpose of using it was to whiten, remove the fishy smell, and preserve the jellyfish longer.

Immediately afterwards, the Nghe An Police Environmental Police Team coordinated with relevant agencies to take samples for testing, checking the white powder and finished jellyfish to serve the investigation.
At the same time, seal the jellyfish and temporarily detain 40kg of white powder and establish an investigation file to clarify the case and handle it in accordance with legal regulations.
