According to Ms. Le Thi Thanh, Head of the Statistics Department of Dien Thinh commune, after the commune People's Committee and hamlets conducted on-site inspections, the area of peanuts with over 70% crop failure accounted for over 200 hectares (50% of the total peanut cultivation area of the entire commune); the area with 30-70% crop failure accounted for 144 hectares (36% of the total peanut cultivation area of the entire commune).
The total amount of funding provided by the state budget to farmers throughout the commune for seeds and supplies to replace the damaged peanut crop reached 533 million VND.
