Nghe An's athletics team has another athlete participating in the SEA Games 31.
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, female athlete O Thi Nga from the Nghe An Sports Training and Competition Center was selected by the Vietnamese Athletics coaching staff to participate in the 31st SEA Games.

O Thi Nga was born in Nghia Dan mountainous district, Nghe An province. Although only born in 2001, Nga has already shown her talent in individual short-distance running events.
In 2020, the female athlete from Nghia Dan won a Bronze Medal in the 200m individual event at the National Athletics Championships.
In previous tests and examinationsSEA Games 31In the 100m race, O Thi Nga completed the race in 11.9 seconds; in the 200m race, it was 24.6 seconds.
Ms. Ha Thi Kim Anh, Head of the Athletics Department at the Nghe An Sports Training and Competition Center, assessed: "O Thi Nga is one of the outstanding female track and field athletes of Nghe An at this time. Based on professional evaluation criteria, she always demonstrates very special qualities. If she is mentally prepared, Nga has a good chance of achieving good results at this Games."

In order to promptly encourage the province's outstanding athletes participating in the 31st SEA Games, a delegation from the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department, visited and boosted the morale of 5 Nghe An athletes participating in the Games.

At the training sites, the Deputy Director of the Department highly appreciated the athletes' efforts in completing the final training plans set by the coaching staff, so that they could enter the competition in peak form. She also hoped that, with the indomitable spirit of the people of Nghe An, the athletes would step onto the competition stage with the highest determination, bringing glory to the nation and honor to the province. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong also wished the athletes good health and success in achieving their goals.
