Do Luong Power Company is focusing on repairing 250 power poles that were broken and collapsed after Typhoon No. 2.

(Baonghean.vn) - Typhoon No. 2 hit Nghe An province, causing significant damage to the people. In particular, the electricity supply for residents in Do Luong district was severely affected.

Following Typhoon No. 2, the entire power system in Do Luong was almost completely paralyzed. Immediately afterward, all power sources were disconnected to ensure the safety of the people.

In Do Luong town, after the storm, two power poles were broken and fell. The power company mobilized its staff to coordinate with the police and military to focus on repairing the damage. Within just six hours, half of the households in the town had electricity restored, allowing them to resume their daily lives.

Mr. Le Dinh Nga from Block 4, Do Luong town, shared: "I thought it would take several days for the electricity to be restored, however, Do Luong Power Company worked very hard to fix it. The electricity was back on after only half a day, and we are very happy."

TAccording to preliminary statistics from Do Luong Power Company, Typhoon No. 2 damaged and knocked down 1 high-voltage power pole, 250 low-voltage poles, and 1 transformer in Hien Son commune. Communes severely affected include Trung Son, My Son, and Do Luong town... Estimated damage amounts to nearly 1 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Sy Thong, Deputy Director of Do Luong Power Company, said: "To promptly meet the electricity needs of customers, we have mobilized 100% of our staff and coordinated with relevant authorities to quickly resolve the issue."

By 5 PM on July 17, 2017, 50% of power outages in the district had been resolved. Only a few power lines far from the center, where deploying personnel is difficult, are still under repair. Do Luong Power Company is continuing its urgent repair work to restore power supply as soon as possible.
