(Baonghean.vn) - In a simulated scenario, a fire broke out in the fuel pumping area for tanker trucks at offshore platform No. 2. Upon detecting the fire, the on-site fire fighting force immediately implemented on-site response plans.

On the afternoon of May 12th, Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 1 coordinated with the Ben Thuy oil depot of Nghe An Petroleum Company to organize a fire fighting drill.

In the simulated scenario, upon discovering the fire, the on-site fire fighting force of the Ben Thuy oil depot immediately implemented on-site response plans and simultaneously contacted the fire police force.

Upon receiving the report, Fire Department Station No. 1 mobilized 45 officers and soldiers, 5 specialized fire trucks, and 1 ladder truck to quickly reach the scene.

Because the area where the fire occurred contained nearly 20,000 cubic meters of gasoline and oil, the risk of fire spreading and explosion was very high. Therefore, professional firefighting forces simultaneously used various firefighting methods to control and extinguish the fire while also carrying out rescue operations.

After 20 minutes of using water and foam to extinguish the fire, the blaze was brought under control and put out.
