Disaster prevention drill in Hung Nguyen

(Baonghean.vn) -The drill involved more than 140 people evacuating people and property to safe shelters.

In order to improve the capacity of government officials and Red Cross in high-risk areas; to minimize the rate of human and property damage when natural disasters and catastrophes occur, on the morning of June 6, the Red Cross of Nghe An province coordinated with the People's Committee of Hung Nhan commune (Hung Nguyen) to organize a drill on prevention and response to natural disasters, catastrophes, rescue and relief in 2017.

The exercise involved more than 140 people evacuating people and property to safe shelters; 20 members of the rescue force organized reinforcement of houses at risk of collapse and roof loss; searched for missing victims and rescued drowning victims.

The drill aims to help local authorities and people of Hung Nhan commune proactively prevent damage and loss when natural disasters occur.
