Accordingly, the total natural area is 61,754.55 hectares, of which agricultural land accounts for 51,881.62 hectares (84.01%); non-agricultural land accounts for 9,444.93 hectares (15.29%); and unused land accounts for 428 hectares (0.69%).

Compared to the land use situation in 2015, the area of agricultural land decreased by 1,429.14 hectares, the area of unused land decreased by 218.16 hectares, and non-agricultural land increased by 1,647.3 hectares, mainly used for national defense and infrastructure development at the national, provincial, district, and commune levels.

The adjusted planning will essentially meet the land use needs for urban development and rural residential areas, as well as the needs for developing community centers. This will generate additional revenue from land allocation and leasing, and create favorable conditions for the appropriate restructuring of crop and livestock production.
