Positioning Nghe An's tourism brand by creating distinctive highlights.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province will create favorable conditions for Saigontourist to survey and invest in developing new tourism products and services to attract tourists to the locality. This was one of the key points raised at the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between the People's Committee of Nghe An province and Saigontourist Corporation (Saigontourist), which took place this morning, May 13th.
Attending the working session were: Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments, agencies, and localities.

Over the past period, the departments and agencies of Nghe An province have cooperated with and supported Saigontourist in developing strategic directions for production and business development in Nghe An. Furthermore, Saigontourist has actively supported the Nghe An tourism industry by participating in promotional and marketing activities in Ho Chi Minh City annually; participating in Famtrip delegations to survey tourism in Nghe An; coordinating in attracting tourists to the locality and using the company's products and services; and training tourism human resources.

During the period 2019-2025, strategic cooperation betweenNghe An province and Saigontourist aim to strengthen their cooperation in leveraging the potential and strengths of both sides, and to vigorously promote local tourism development.
Accordingly, Saigontourist will focus on investing in the construction of LED screens at the Kim Lien historical site; sending skilled experts to provide technical advice to help Nghe An upgrade existing tourism products and develop new distinctive tourism products (initially supporting the development of community-based tourism models in the Mekong Delta); supporting the promotion and marketing of the province's tourism domestically and internationally; and continuing to support training, development, and prioritizing the recruitment of human resources trained in Nghe An.
On the part of Nghe An province, priority will be given to selecting and promoting Saigontourist's tour packages and services in Nghe An. Tourism businesses will be directed to participate in Saigontourist's promotional activities; support and facilitate the organization and participation of the corporation's member units in tourism events in the province; open a travel agency branch in Vinh City; and conduct surveys and invest in developing new tourism products and services to attract tourists to Nghe An.

During the meeting, the delegates generally agreed on the content of cooperation between the two sides.They also contributed ideas to position the Nghe An tourism brand by creating distinctive highlights; requested Saigontourist to support the development of more tours, routes, and community tourism products in Nam Dan; and proposed promoting the image, diversifying tourism products, and investing in infrastructure to boost tourism development in Cua Lo town…

Appreciating the effective cooperation between Saigontourist and Nghe An province in developing tours and routes, improving the quality of distinctive tourism products, and contributing to the development of tourism in the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy agreed to the content of the strategic cooperation agreement between the two units in the near future.

At the same time, it was suggested that, after signing, relevant departments and units should advise on specific contents for implementation and annually evaluate the effectiveness of the coordination. Based on the consolidated opinions of the delegates at the meeting, the comrade requested the Department of Tourism to advise on the issuance of a provincial tourism development strategy, aiming to leverage the rich potential and develop the Nghe An tourism brand.
