(Baonghean.vn) - From the beginning of 2019 until now, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has coordinated with professional auction organizations to hold 12 auctions in 12 communes in the district, successfully auctioning 259 land plots. The amount of money collected from the auctions is 126.6 billion VND.
For example, in the communes of Trang Son, 32 plots were successfully auctioned, generating 13.7 billion VND; Hoa Son, 34 plots, generating 12.36 billion VND; Tan Son, 21 plots, generating 14.7 billion VND; Thai Son, 33 plots, generating 22.4 billion VND; Luu Son, 31 plots, generating 17 billion VND...

To crack down on land brokers, based on the actual situation, the District People's Committee has established a team to monitor auctions. On average, each team has 6 members, with the Deputy Chairman of the District People's Committee in charge of the economic sector as the team leader, and members representing the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Justice, Finance, and Economic Infrastructure.
The supervisory team coordinated with the People's Committees of the communes where land was put up for auction, directly participated in supervising the auctions, and took appropriate and timely action. In particular, they determined land price increments that were appropriate to the actual situation, close to the market value of the land plots, avoiding budget losses and ensuring fairness and the interests of auction participants.

Therefore, it becomes difficult for "land brokers" to engage in practices such as collusion, price manipulation, and price coercion against auction participants.
The People's Committee of Do Luong district also requested that the People's Committees of the communes with land for auction closely adhere to current market land prices when determining the starting price of the land plots.
In the coming period, the District People's Committee will learn from the experiences of some other districts to advise on a pilot indirect auction plan for a number of communes.
