The provincial delegation offered incense and paid respects at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Do Luong district and the Truong Bon Historical Site.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 24th, a delegation from the province, led by Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery and the Truong Bon Historical Relic Site.

At the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery, Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and the provincial delegation respectfully offered prayers, flowers, and incense at the memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs; they also offered incense before the graves of the martyrs with profound respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the peace and development of the country, and for the noble and unwavering international friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

The war is long over, but the names of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national independence, reunification, and fulfilling noble international duties will forever live on with their homeland.
The provincial delegation also pledged to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, striving to overcome difficulties, diligently fulfilling assigned tasks, contributing to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland, and making a worthy contribution to the development of the country.

Currently, the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery has received 2,189 remains of fallen soldiers; of which 1,307 are the remains of officers, soldiers, experts, and volunteer soldiers who died in Laos, through 17 reception and burial ceremonies.




Earlier, the provincial delegation visited and offered prayers, flowers, and incense at the Truông Bồn National Historical Site in Mỹ Sơn commune, Đô Lương district.
Before the mass grave of 13 Youth Volunteer Corps martyrs of Company 317 who died on October 31, 1968, and the memorial house for 1,240 heroic martyrs who died at the sacred Truong Bon, Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and the provincial delegation respectfully offered prayers, flowers, and incense in remembrance, expressing their profound respect, admiration, and gratitude to the outstanding sons and daughters who sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the happiness of the people.


Truong Bon became a focal point of intense bombing raids by the US imperialists on North Vietnam, aimed at cutting off the vital transportation route for manpower and supplies supporting the battlefields in the South.
This place has become sacred ground, a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, where the blood of comrades and compatriots was shed in the long struggle for national liberation.

This is the place where the fervent footsteps of hundreds of thousands of young people, fighting in their prime to save the country, are imprinted; young men and women, eighteen or twenty years old, went into the war with all their optimism, desire to live, and sense of responsibility to their nation.
Here, 1,240 outstanding individuals fell on this legendary road; among them was the heroic sacrifice of 13 young volunteer soldiers of the "Steel Squad" from Youth Volunteer Company 317, Team 65, General Youth Volunteer Brigade fighting against the US for national salvation, Nghe An province.



As part of activities commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, in Do Luong district, Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and the provincial delegation visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to war invalid Le Van Hoa (in Hamlet 7, Trang Son commune) who is currently suffering from a serious illness, and war invalid Thai Dinh Thinh (in Hamlet 3, Bai Son commune) who is in difficult circumstances.


Expressing deep gratitude to the war invalids, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council encouraged them to overcome their illnesses and living conditions, and to continue affirming the spirit of a soldier, never giving up in the face of any circumstances.
