Task Force No. 2 for drug prevention and control disseminated legal information and presented gifts to residents of Phuc Loc commune.
On March 5th, Task Force No. 2 of the Vietnam Coast Guard's Anti-Drug Unit organized a legal awareness campaign and distributed gifts to Catholic parishioners in Phuc Loc commune, Nghe An province.

Attending the program were Major General Luong Dinh Hung – Deputy Commander of the Law Enforcement Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hai - Political Commissar of Task Force No. 2 for combating drug crimes, leaders of Phuc Loc commune, and a large number of local residents.
At the program, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hai - Political Officer of Task Force No. 2 for Drug Crime Prevention and Control - provided information and disseminated knowledge about the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; the Law on Drug Prevention and Control; the guidelines and policies of the Party and State; and the election of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Informing the public, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hai stated that Task Force No. 2 for combating drug crimes is responsible for fighting drug crimes in the coastal areas of six provinces and cities in Central Vietnam (from Nghe An to Quang Ngai). Over the years, with the highest political determination, the unit has implemented many effective measures to combat drug crimes.

In particular, the dissemination of legal information to the people has been emphasized with effective and innovative methods, linked to the implementation of the "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious communities" public relations work; focusing on raising public awareness about drugs, their harmful effects, ways to prevent and combat drug abuse, and legal regulations in drug prevention and control; and integrating the dissemination of information about maritime sovereignty, the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard, etc.
In 2025, the unit organized 12 legal awareness campaigns for over 54,000 people working on 1,200 vehicles and boats; distributed over 15,000 informational leaflets, over 1,200 law books, donated hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged families, and over 3,600 national flags to fishermen at sea.

As part of the program, Task Force No. 2 for Drug Crime Prevention coordinated with Phuc Loc commune and other agencies and units to present gifts to families receiving preferential treatment and Catholic parishioners in the area. These gifts demonstrate the affection, close relationship, and solidarity between the unit and the local people.
On this occasion, Task Force No. 2 for combating drug crimes presented Hamlet 31 and Hamlet 32 with: 2 sets of tables and chairs, 400 plastic chairs; a model flagpole and 150 national flags, and 150 Party flags for the people of Phuc Loc commune.
The leaders of Phuc Loc commune expressed their gratitude for the attention, cooperation, and support of Task Force No. 2 for drug prevention and control, and hoped that the unit would continue to carry out meaningful activities for the people in the commune in the future.
