The National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province conducted a thematic supervision in Tan Ky district.
On the morning of August 23rd, continuing their work program, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An province conducted a thematic supervision on "The implementation of preferential policies and support regarding housing and land for people with meritorious services to the revolution" in Tan Ky district.
The delegation included: Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Full-time delegate, Provincial National Assembly Delegation; representatives from the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, and provincial departments and agencies.
Working with the inspection team were leaders of Tan Ky district and representatives of district-level departments and agencies.
The purpose of this monitoring is to assess the situation, implementation, and results achieved in the implementation of preferential policies and support for housing and land for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution in the area; to identify existing problems, difficulties, and obstacles; and to propose solutions for better implementation in the future; contributing to the improvement of legal regulations on preferential policies and support for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution regarding housing and land.
In Tan Ky district, the monitoring team conducted surveys at the household of Ms. Dang Thi Thuy (wife of a fallen soldier), Block 3, Tan Ky town, and the household of Mr. Thai Hong Ha (disabled veteran), Ky Nam hamlet, Ky Son commune, who are beneficiaries of housing and land support programs for people with meritorious service.
During the implementation process, Tan Ky district has achieved several results. Regarding housing support, from February 2022 to June 2024, the District People's Committee completed the statistical survey of the number of families with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs who need housing for the period 2021-2025 in the district.
Specifically, there are 403 people with meritorious service and relatives of martyrs who need support and housing improvements, including: 240 households needing new construction and 163 households needing repairs and renovations.
Regarding preferential land allocation for housing, from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2024, the district allocated land for housing to one case; and reduced land use fees for 84 individuals who are war veterans, with a total reduction of 10,184,634,000 VND.
On behalf of the Supervisory Delegation, Ms. Thai Thi An Chung – Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation – acknowledged the attention given by Tan Ky district to supporting housing and land for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. She also noted that the district should coordinate with the Association for Supporting Relatives of Martyrs to call for support in building houses for the relatives of martyrs, thereby contributing to motivating those who have rendered meritorious services.
Continue researching and advising to refine policies and effectively implement housing and land support for people with meritorious service; strengthen inspection of implementation, promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles at the grassroots level; pay attention to disseminating information and providing specific guidance to beneficiaries so they understand the policies and guidelines on housing and land support for people with meritorious service to the revolution; research and develop a plan for synchronized implementation.
