The delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An province presented Tet gifts to poor patients, people with disabilities, and orphans.

On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year – the Year of the Snake 2025, on the afternoon of January 23, 2025 (corresponding to the 24th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), a delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An province, led by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, visited, encouraged, and presented Tet gifts to poor patients, people with disabilities, and orphans at several facilities in Vinh City.

Accompanying them were comrades: Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly; along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year – the Year of the Snake 2025, on the afternoon of January 23, 2025 (corresponding to the 24th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), a delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An province, led by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, visited, encouraged, and presented Tet gifts to poor patients, people with disabilities, and orphans at several facilities in Vinh City.

At Nghe An Oncology Hospital, National Assembly delegates from Nghe An province presented 200 gifts to 200 poor patients with particularly difficult circumstances who are receiving treatment at the hospital; each gift included 1 million VND in cash and goods worth 300,000 VND.

On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - offered encouragement and shared in the economic difficulties and hardships, as well as the pain and struggle against serious illnesses, faced by the patients.

Affirming that the gifts sent to poor patients with particularly difficult circumstances at Nghe An Oncology Hospital are the heartfelt sharing of people in the province and the whole country, conveyed through the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Assembly delegates of the 15th term from Nghe An province, the Head of the National Assembly delegation and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province stated: Along with the concern of the whole society, through the "Lam River Compassion - Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025" program, to date, the entire province has mobilized nearly 148 billion VND to care for and support poor, near-poor, and particularly difficult-circumstances households in the province.

Specifically for poor and disadvantaged patients receiving treatment at medical facilities in the province during Tet (Lunar New Year), the province annually allocates 4-5 billion VND from the Fund for the Poor to provide additional material support, demonstrating the community's compassion and creating spiritual motivation for patients to fight their illnesses.

Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh wished the patients continued strong will and positive spirit in their treatment – ​​a crucial factor in overcoming illness; she also hoped that the medical staff of Nghe An Oncology Hospital would enhance their sense of responsibility and share more with patients suffering from serious illnesses, creating trust so that patients can confidently receive effective treatment; and she urged them to review and compile a list to provide timely support to poor patients and those with difficult circumstances receiving treatment at the hospital during Tet.

The delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An province visited, encouraged, and presented Tet gifts to the SOS Children's Village in Vinh, including 30 million VND in cash and 30 cartons of fresh milk.

For over 34 years of operation, SOS Children's Village Vinh has cared for and nurtured nearly 1,000 orphaned children and those with particularly difficult circumstances; it has truly been a "warm home" for the children in the Village to grow up.

Expressing her joy at seeing the children at the Village being cared for and having a joyful and happy living environment, the Head of the National Assembly Delegation and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Vo Thi Minh Sinh, conveyed her wish that the officials and the mothers, aunts, and fathers in the Village continue to take good care of the children. She urged the children to always love, unite, and live harmoniously with their siblings in the village so that their daily lives are filled with laughter and happiness; and to strive to be well-behaved, excel in their studies, and take control of their own lives when they grow up.

Members of the National Assembly from the Nghe An Provincial delegation also visited and presented gifts to people with disabilities at the Nghe An Provincial Center for People with Disabilities.

On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh expressed joy and excitement at the examples of disabled people who always have the will to overcome life's adversities and physical disabilities to take control of their lives; many have found jobs and created income for themselves, and many others in similar circumstances.
