The Provincial National Assembly Delegation met with voters in Tan Ky town.
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Tan Ky district have submitted 11 opinions related to the remuneration for village and hamlet officials, transportation infrastructure, land issues, etc.
On the afternoon of September 28th, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a meeting with voters in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, ahead of the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.
The National Assembly delegation from electoral district No. 2 included Mr. Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; and Mr. Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee. Also present were representatives from the leadership of Tan Ky district, Tan Ky town, and a large number of voters.
At the conference, delegate Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security - informed the voters about the expected content of the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly, which will take place from October 23 to November 29, 2023; and the results of the activities of the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation from the 5th session to the present.
Accordingly, the National Assembly will pass 9 draft laws, 2 draft resolutions, and provide opinions on 8 other draft laws; at the same time, it will consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the State budget, and supervise other important matters.
In a democratic and frank spirit, voters in Tan Ky town submitted many opinions to their National Assembly representatives. Voter Ho Trong Quynh (Block 2, Tan Ky town) suggested that more attention should be paid to the position of deputy head of block/hamlet. While not one of the three full-time positions receiving monthly allowances, these individuals directly participate in the work of the block/hamlet; therefore, voters proposed that policies be studied to provide support for this group.
Regarding infrastructure, voter Tran Khac Lien (Block 6, Tan Ky town) reflected that the road system in the town has not developed fast enough to meet the needs of the people. In addition, the voter noted that the urban lighting system is inadequate and suggested that the district and Tan Ky town should pay more attention to this issue.
Voter Vu Thi Thanh (Block 1, Tan Ky town) also raised several land-related issues. She stated that she is one of 17 households in Block 1, Tan Ky town, bordering Giang Son commune (Do Luong district), who have not yet received land use rights certificates because it has not been determined whether the land belongs to Do Luong or Tan Ky district. The voter requested that this issue be resolved promptly to ensure the rights of the people.
In addition, voters also raised several issues regarding subsidies for the elderly, poor households, near-poor households, and families who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution.
At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Giap - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee, and representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs answered a number of questions within their jurisdiction that voters had raised.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, delegate Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee - acknowledged the feedback and suggestions from voters, and forwarded them to the relevant authorities for consideration and resolution.
