(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26th, a delegation from the Namyangju City People's Council (South Korea), led by Mr. LeJinTaek – Head of the Namyangju City People's Council's Autonomous Administration Committee, visited and worked in Vinh City. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Lu – Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council; and Mr. Nguyen Hoai An – Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee.

Representatives from the two cities exchanged ideas on solutions to strengthen cooperation and development.

Exactly 11 years ago, Vinh City and Namyangju City (South Korea) established a sister city relationship in the areas of economics, culture, education, and youth. Since then, this relationship has been maintained and developed. Namyangju City has organized many delegations to visit, work, and exchange ideas to develop the economy, culture, and arts in Vinh City.

In particular, in 2016, Namyangju City supported Vinh City in constructing the Namyangju Dasan road in Quan Bau ward. To date, the project has basically completed the land clearance phase and is currently implementing some construction items. In addition, Vinh City is also expediting procedures to allow Korean businesses to invest in building product display stalls on the third floor of the main building of Vinh Market.

At the meeting, after listening to the discussions, representatives from both cities expressed their desire for a deeper and stronger relationship. They also hoped to continue supporting each other in economic development, services, trade, tourism, and cultural and artistic exchanges.
