These days, visiting Anh Son district, it's easy to notice the positive changes in this mountainous area. One of the most noticeable changes is the continuously expanding and improving transportation system; in addition to the investment and upgrades from the province and district, thanks to the collective efforts of the people, many inter-village and inter-commune roads have been concreted.

Visiting Hamlet 3, Tuong Son Commune, we witnessed the working atmosphere of the local people as they strived to complete the village's welcome gate and upgrade the drainage system in time for the 77th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.

Mr. Dang Van Son, Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Hamlet 3, Tuong Son Commune, happily stated: "The project of pouring concrete covers for the drainage ditches on both sides of the main road, spanning 700 meters to widen the road and ensure environmental hygiene, and the village's welcome gate are projects in response to the 'For Our Beloved Anh Son Homeland' movement launched by the district... The two projects, with a total cost of over 750 million VND, were funded by contributions from benefactors, businesses, expatriates, and the people. In the past two years, Hamlet 3 has mobilized people to contribute over 1.3 billion VND to build infrastructure such as a football field, a cultural house, and a clean and beautiful environment. These results in a mountainous area where the majority of the people are engaged in agriculture and still face many difficulties demonstrate the strength of solidarity and unity among the people."

Like the people of Hamlet 3, Tuong Son Commune, the people of other localities in Anh Son District always trust in the leadership of the Party and government, and the support of organizations and associations. Every movement launched by the authorities and sectors is actively participated in by the people, especially in economic development to increase income, improve living standards, and contribute to building new rural areas. For example, Tam Son Commune mobilized the people to build a green park and an 8 km long street lighting system; the people of Dinh Son Commune built a welcome gate and a football field for the hamlets; Hamlet 4, Tuong Son Commune, carved into the mountain to build a cultural center; many street lighting and flower-lined roads have been created… And most importantly, the Party committees, government, and organizations have awakened the aspiration to build their homeland among all strata of the people through socio-economic development orientations and investment in key state programs and projects.

In particular, over the past years, the local authorities in Anh Son district have connected with and encouraged those who have left their hometowns to return to their homeland through practical actions. This spirit of solidarity is also demonstrated through working together, helping each other, and supporting poor households and families in difficult circumstances to improve their lives... Everyone is united, working together to build a homeland that is constantly changing, especially in improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

It embodies the spirit of solidarity.

Anh Son is a land rich in revolutionary traditions. During the two wars of resistance against colonialism and imperialism, the patriotic traditions of the people of Anh Son were demonstrated more than ever; they were brave in fighting to defend the Fatherland; they lived with loyalty and integrity; and they were diligent and hardworking in their studies, labor, and production...

With peace restored and the healing of war wounds underway, the people here launched many emulation movements, most notably the "Campaign to Capture the Sun," which resulted in the construction of dams to irrigate abundant harvests in fields such as Cho Xa (Duc Son commune); Khe Chung (Tao Son commune); Ruong Xoi (Vinh Son commune)...

Recently, Anh Son district has once again joined the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas. To date, 14 out of 21 communes and towns in the district have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as achieving new rural area status. The rural landscape of Anh Son district has seen many encouraging advancements; infrastructure has been built at a rapid pace, including electricity, roads, bridges, schools, health stations, production and business facilities, cultural works, and religious structures.

The "green, clean, beautiful, bright, and friendly" emulation movement is making a positive contribution to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 21st Congress of the Anh Son District Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

In order to preserve and promote the fine traditional values ​​of the homeland, Anh Son district launched an emulation movement to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the name Anh Son (1822 - 2022) and the 60th anniversary of the separation and establishment of Anh Son district (1963 - 2023) with the theme "All for a prosperous and beautiful Anh Son homeland".

The movement has three main objectives: Firstly, all administrative agencies, schools, organizations, businesses, and the people must complete and exceed the set targets and plans. Secondly, construct projects to commemorate the occasion using the people's strength, resources from the people and their children living away from home. Thirdly, reform the administration with innovation, creativity, digital transformation, and a renewed work style and methods, streamlining administrative procedures, implementing public service reform, and improving the culture of conduct.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Anh Son District Party Committee, shared: The implementation of this emulation movement aims to create a truly vibrant movement to transform Anh Son district into a shining example among mountainous districts. And to become a shining example, there must be a boost, a driving force, a breakthrough. To create a new boost and driving force for Anh Son's development, it is clear that we must create momentum among the people and mobilize the people's resources.

It is noteworthy that the movement has received a strong response from officials, Party members, and the people. A clear example is that in just over four months since its launch, 150 projects have been registered with a total investment of over 85 billion VND, compared to the initial plan of 60-70 projects with a budget of approximately 30-35 billion VND, entirely funded by the people.

“Anh Son District has set a goal that by mid-2023, many projects will be built throughout the district, making Anh Son brighter, more beautiful, and more friendly thanks to the people's efforts. At the same time, launching this movement aims to demonstrate that the people of Anh Son have accumulated strength from generation to generation; the people of Anh Son have embodied the spirit of solidarity among those who have left farming but not their homeland. This also has profound significance in contributing to educating the younger generation to be proud of the traditions of their land, people, and homeland. This is an important milestone that lays the groundwork for Anh Son to take a new step in development, bearing the unique characteristics of the Nghe An region,” Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang further emphasized.
