Unity is strength
(Baonghean.vn) - The more we love peace, the more we understand the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: "Unity, unity, great unity, success, success, great success".
Every Vietnamese person can be proud that there are few countries with many ethnic groups and religions where people live together, closely and harmoniously like in our country. The reason for this is that every Vietnamese person, regardless of their ethnic group or religion, always values humanity and harmony with the spirit of "gourd, please love squash, although different species but on the same trellis", "nine out of ten", "harmony is precious"... Therefore, all ethnic and religious differences are easily eliminated. Thanks to that, regardless of the historical period, our people have a closely-knit great unity with invincible strength to control nature and fight against foreign invaders.

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially since our people took power from the colonialists and feudalists in August 1945, our State has issued many policies to promote the development of the country, including the development of ethnic and religious communities. People's lives have changed dramatically; the position and stature of Vietnam have been raised to a new height; the ship of Vietnam is reaching out to the open sea. Every Vietnamese person today clearly sees and is proud that "our country has never had such a position and position as today" (Resolution of the Central Committee 4 - Session XII). These are very clear historical values that not only the Vietnamese people but also the international community acknowledge. Only those with bad intentions and dark ambitions deliberately do not understand these things.
Like other countries in the world, Vietnam has had a Constitution since the early days of its founding (1946), with a legal system to regulate the relationships of social life. All citizens are under the management of public agencies from the central to the grassroots level. No one can live outside the law, cannot stand above the law. Any behavior that goes against the common interest, violates the Constitution and the law will be strictly and appropriately handled.
In recent days, the security and order situation in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district has been very chaotic, making every Vietnamese person feel heartbroken. That situation is caused by the actions of some extremist priests that go against the teachings of the canon law, and against the traditional and historical values.

Those shameful actions have tarnished the noble image of religious dignitaries in particular and the Catholic community in our country in general. Not only that, the defamation of the core values of our nation has touched the self-respect of every true Vietnamese person.
It is understandable that many people in Son Hai commune and many other localities in Nghe An province have spoken out strongly to protest these wrongdoings. Many people have even determined to teach the extremist priests a worthy lesson. A lesson about human morality, a lesson about the role of a citizen towards the country, a lesson about an individual towards the noble human values of the nation.
The frustration of the people of Son Hai in the above situation is understandable. However, the risk of these frustrations is that they could lead to violent conflicts that would affect the good solidarity between religions that we have built.
Every citizen has the right to speak up, to express their love for their country and to fight against evil forces that are bent on destroying the peace and stability of the country. However, all actions must be based on the spirit of the rule of law as required by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in the meeting on security and order in May 2017.
Therefore, more than ever, every Catholic and non-Catholic in Son Hai commune (Quynh Luu district), in Nghe An province and in this S-shaped strip of land needs to be alert, clearly aware of right and wrong, to resolve disagreements and avoid falling into the trap of bad guys. Catholics and non-Catholics are inseparable parts of our nation, contributing to the overall development of the country. Most Catholics are good people, abiding by the Constitution and the law. Those who go against the common good will have to expose their true faces to the light of heart and justice.
Authorities at all levels from the provincial to the communal level are making every effort to maintain stability, closely monitoring the actions of extremist priests and will deal with them when they exceed the permissible limits. Each cadre, party member and the masses need to, through their representative organizations, have appropriate voices and actions to protect justice, protect the Party and protect the government.

There is no happiness like waking up every morning to breathe fresh, peaceful air and listen to the church bells and temple bells echoing in every village. |
More than anyone else, each of us, regardless of ethnicity or religion, understands the price of peace and happiness that our country is enjoying. Our people always love peace and absolutely do not want conflict or war. There is no greater happiness than waking up every morning to breathe fresh, peaceful air and listen to the echoing sound of church and temple bells.
The more we love peace, the more we understand the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: "Unity, unity, great unity, success, success, great success". Yes! Once we maintain the great unity of the entire nation, there is no difficulty we cannot overcome, no force that can stop our nation from moving forward./.
