Tuong Duong commune, especially the Cua Rao 2 village area, is the locality that suffered the most damage from natural disasters in 2025.

The fact that the Youth Union of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital and the Youth Union - Student Association of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy chose this locality to organize the program demonstrates a noble spirit of compassion and concern for community health. The program organizers hope to bring the people a healthy and peaceful Tet holiday.

Upon hearing that the program was being held locally, a large number of people from Tuong Duong commune gathered early at Xa Luong Health Station to receive free examinations, consultations, and medication.

Responding to the expectations of the local people, on the morning of January 10, 2026, immediately after arriving at the examination site, the doctors and nurses quickly got to work, conducting general check-ups, disease screenings, and providing nutritional advice to more than 350 people.

Besides providing free medical examinations and medication, the doctors also diligently guided the local people on how to prevent and control common diseases. The team also donated 350 family medicine kits, hundreds of bottles of fish sauce, and some essential necessities to the people who came for examinations, as well as 10 gifts worth 500,000 VND in cash to disadvantaged households in the commune.

On this occasion, the delegation also donated 5 electronic blood pressure monitors to the Xa Luong Health Station and 4 boxes of essential medicines to 4 villages in Tuong Duong commune, including Chan, Mac, Lau, and Nhan villages... these villages were isolated because the bridge was swept away by floods during typhoon No. 3.

These gifts are very meaningful, aiming to provide timely support for regular health check-ups and improve the quality of medical examinations for local people.

In addition, the delegation also organized a fun and engaging program for the students of Xa Luong Primary and Secondary School. Besides participating in lively games, the children also received small but heartfelt gifts such as adorable teddy bears, sweet candies, warm blankets, and school supplies.
