Youth union in mountainous commune builds bridge for villagers.

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to promote the volunteer movement for community life and in response to the "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign" 2017, the Youth Union of Huu Khuong commune (Tuong Duong district) recently mobilized more than 50 young volunteers to build a pedestrian bridge for the people of Pung Bon village.

After a hard day's work, with the enthusiastic spirit of youth, the community bridge was completed. The bridge is nearly 10 meters long and 1.7 meters wide, made entirely of wood that the youth union members themselves collected from the forest.

The Pủng Bón village has 77 households with 323 inhabitants. Previously, before the bridge was built, people here had to cross a stream to get to the commune center. Without a bridge, the villagers had to use stones to build a path, making travel very difficult, especially during the rainy season. Therefore, building a bridge will help the villagers travel more conveniently, especially the students.

According to Vi Van Thoai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Huu Khuong commune: In addition to helping the villagers build bridges, the commune's Youth Union will organize a general environmental cleanup, assist families receiving preferential treatment, and organize summer activities for children in the villages in the coming time.
