Trung Hoa Parish has 7 parishes. This Christmas, each parish is responsible for decorating a miniature landscape, an area in the church grounds. The "giant" grotto was designed by Xuan Hoi Parish in Thanh Tien Commune. The grotto is shaped like a mountain range, about 17m long and nearly 9m high. Photo: Huy Thu
CaveThere are 3 floors, gradually smaller from low to high, made from hundreds of bamboo trees, many wooden boards and thousands of scrap packaging. Bamboo and wood are tied together to make supports. The packaging is heated, sprayed with paint to make "stones", connected together to cover the bamboo frame. Photo: Huy Thu
The bottom floor of this cave has many doors, a path leading from the front to the back of the cave, a pond, a lake for raising fish... Photo: Huy Thu
To get to the middle floor of the cave, you have to cross a bridge. On this floor, there is a path along the cave body. Although assembled from bamboo and wood, the structure is quite sturdy. Photo: Huy Thu
In the center of the cave, in the middle of the second floor, is a manger simulating the moment when the baby Jesus was born. Thanks to the creativity in ideas and skillful construction, the cave becomes lively and attractive. Photo: Huy Thu
Opposite the "huge" grotto is a 12m high Christmas tree on the right side of the church, made of steel, plastic mesh, LED wires, and colorful bulbs that shine brightly at night. This tree is managed by the people of Luong Khe Parish. Photo: Huy Thu
It is known that during the construction of the Christmas tree as well as the 3-storey nativity scene, parishioners had to build elaborate scaffolding, which took a lot of effort. In the photo: Inside the Christmas tree covered with nets. Photo: Huy Thu
