(Baonghean.vn) – About 3km from Muong Xen town (Ky Son district) lies a sacred temple revered by the people of Canh village (Ta Ca commune), the Duc Khanh Temple. This place is also known for its rare natural beauty, featuring a unique cluster of banyan trees, said to have been personally cared for by Mr. Duc Khanh's wife.
| According to Mr. Vi Van Van, the caretaker of the temple in Canh village, Mr. Duc Khanh was instrumental in developing the Ta Ca area and killing two evil dragons to protect the villagers. After his death, the people of the region erected a temple to commemorate his contributions. |
| Legend has it that when he passed away, his wife, Phanh, noticed a banyan tree growing beside the temple and took meticulous care of it. Since then, this banyan tree has always cast its shade around the temple, its branches intertwining to create a rare and beautiful sight. |
| The Duc Khanh Temple and the cluster of banyan trees situated on the banks of the majestic Nam Mo River create a poetic and enchanting scene. |
| The largest banyan tree trunk would require 5-6 people to encircle it. The village elders say they can't remember how many years this cluster of banyan trees has existed, only that they were born seeing the majestic row of banyan trees standing behind the temple. |
| The roots of the banyan tree are embedded in the ground, intertwining with each other. |
| Some of the roots twist and curve like a dragon wanting to fly out to the Nam Mo River. |
| Around the trunk of the banyan tree, the roots cling together like dragon claws. |
| The parasitic plants that grow on the trunks of banyan trees create a rare and beautiful sight. |
| The tree roots grow out to form a charming gateway leading into the temple. |
| All of them are located behind the Duc Khanh temple, as if protecting and sheltering the sacred temple. |
