The series "Doc Dao" has concluded its run on VTV, leaving viewers with a range of emotions. A second season has been revealed.

At the beginning of episode 36, the final episode of the series "The Lone Path," Long calls for someone to defuse the bomb in Hong's car. The bomb in the trunk is removed first, but this process is extremely difficult because the bomb is very complexly installed.

The old man informed Mr. Chuong that the goods would arrive at their destination at this time tomorrow. The man prepared to leave, but before that, he had to make sure everything went smoothly. Then, he called old man Cu again.

As time ran out, and Old Cu was nearing the meeting place, Hong urged Long and the bomb disposal expert to quickly get out of the car. Hong said, "One death is enough, let's not die together." However, Long didn't give up and remained determined to help.

At the same time, Old Man Cu saw someone approaching on a motorbike and realized something was wrong. He quickly shouted, "Retreat!" But at that very moment, the police swooped in and arrested everyone. The police ordered Old Man Cu to immediately call Old Man Quan to ask for the bomb disposal code.

Hong headed straight to a large cave, the hiding place of the old man, Quan. Both Long, the bomb disposal expert, and Hong received the bomb disposal code 9002 in their last 30 seconds. Hong closed her eyes, preparing to accept death as the bomb wrapped around her body. However, luckily, the bomb was defused just before the old man pressed the activation button.

At that moment, the police dispatched a patrol car. Realizing the dangerous situation, the old man quickly escaped from the cave.

Knowing the bomb had been defused, Hong removed it from his person and ran to find his younger brother. As soon as he met Khuong, before Hong could say anything, Khuong brushed him aside. Hong closed his eyes, ready for Khuong to strike, but Khuong couldn't bring himself to do it. He declared, "From now on, we are no longer brothers." Khuong threw the knife to the ground and left.

Hong grabbed the knife and ran to find the old man Quan. In Quan's room, Hong discovered a secret escape route, and he immediately followed it to chase after him. When Quan stopped to call his henchmen, "Catch me," Hong caught up. Quan immediately drew his sword and, while attacking, tried to persuade Hong: "Think again, we can come to an agreement, negotiate."

While Hong and Quan were fighting, Tien, sniping from a distance, shot Hong in the shoulder. Knowing he was about to die at the hands of the old Quan, Hong asked one last question: "Why did you kill my father?" The old Quan replied bluntly: "Le Toan only ordered me to teach your father a lesson, but I didn't just kill your father; I killed a few more people. I had to do that so I could be free, escape from Le Toan. I'm tired of being under his command."

The old soldier admitted, "I killed your father, and I should have killed both of you brothers too."

At that moment, Quân raised his sword, intending to attack Hồng: "I'll send you back to your two fathers." But Long managed to shoot Quân first.

Meanwhile, Tiến was aiming his gun at Long when K3 and his teammates intervened in time to stop him.

Long declared, "The game is over!"

Before the final battle, Phung proactively admitted to Long about the diamonds that the old man Quan had bribed him with. He said:

"If you're from the province sent here to investigate who's backing old Quân, you can handcuff me right now."

However, Long wanted to hear the whole story from his old classmate, Phung.

Phùng began to recount: It all started when his wife, Trâm, fell ill. At that time, he was forced to sell his house to pay for her treatment. Someone inquired about buying the house, and it turned out to be one of Quân's men. His wife's surgery was successful, but she needed money for further treatment. Phùng put the house up for sale again, but this time no one dared to buy it. It was then that he realized he had fallen under their control.

Since then, he has fallen into error. Phung bitterly stated that he joined the police force with the ideal of protecting the peace and security of people's lives. But now, he has betrayed that ideal. Later, even if he wanted to escape, he couldn't.

Since Phung confessed everything, Long suggested to the leadership that he be used for the next phase of the investigation. Long regretted not using Phung because he was a talented and promising police officer.

At the police station, Phung pledged to confess to all his actions, without concealing anything. When the case was solved, he sadly revealed:

"My wife had just recovered, and yet..."

Phùng felt guilty towards his wife. Long encouraged him and promised:

"My teammates and I will take care of his wife and children in his place."

Throughout this whole affair, Phung was wrong, but he also did some things right. Those right things will be acknowledged, while his mistakes will be punished by law. Phung understood this very well, but what he regretted most was:

"The only problem is that I've lost my honor."

As an officer who was once competent and proud of his profession, he felt disappointed in himself. Long nodded and replied:

"Yes, honor is the most sacred thing!"

Hong returned home, and immediately, Tuyet expressed her anger that Khuong had to "go away" for several years. She said:

"Why don't you go instead of letting Mr. Khuong go?"

Tuyết believed that Khương had taken all the blame for the incident where Dương the muscular man was pushed into the ravine. She reproached Hồng, accusing him of being consumed by hatred and deceiving his family. Tuyết continued to complain a lot about Hồng, but he remained silent.

After the case, Hong returned home, but both Tuyet and Mrs. Moc resented him. They both received a clip from the old man Quan, recording the moment Hong and Mr. Le Toan were talking, especially the moment when Mr. Toan had difficulty breathing but Hong didn't immediately get the inhaler for him.

Mrs. Moc spoke up:

"I can't believe that's true."

Her words left Hong speechless. She continued:

"No one would dare blame you. You're the son of the man who was murdered years ago. What you did was already very generous."

Although the words didn't sound resentful, they still hurt both Mrs. Moc and Hong.

Hong went upstairs to see Mrs. Moc. Mrs. Moc addressed Hong using "I and you" and thanked him, but her voice was full of resentment:

"My family thanks you."

She continued to complain:

"He trusted you and entrusted this whole family to you. I treated you like my son. I trusted you, this family trusted you, and yet..."

Both Mrs. Moc and Hong were in tears. Hong found it truly difficult to explain anything at this moment, so he knelt down and bowed to Mrs. Moc, saying:

"Goodbye, Mom."

Then, Hong quietly left, leaving Mrs. Moc heartbroken and devastated.

Mrs. Moc and Tuyet visited Khuong. Mrs. Moc informed Khuong that, after investigation, Duong the muscular man did not die after being pushed into the ravine by Khuong, but Khuong was still responsible for his actions.

Next, Tuyet informed Khuong that she was pregnant, and that Khuong was about to become a father. Khuong, being a sentimental person, couldn't control his emotions and shed tears of感動.

Mrs. Moc gave Khuong the box that Mr. Trinh had instructed her to deliver personally. Inside the box was a broken pipe along with a note from Hong:

"You're a worthy son of your father, aren't you!"

Khuong was in unbearable pain. He tried to hold back his tears, but he couldn't.

One of the most touching and tear-jerking scenes in episode 36, the final episode of "The Lone Path," is when Hong writes a letter to his younger brother, Thanh, recounting everything that happened. As he writes, Hong can't hold back his tears. He tells his brother about how they were separated when Thanh was very young, and childhood memories flood back, causing Thanh to also shed tears.

In the letter, Hong wrote that he was extremely happy to finally find his brother, because for so many years, he had sworn to his father that he would find his younger brother no matter what. He wrote:

"Seeing you live an honest life, without fear, without concealment, without having to deal with anything – a life I've never experienced – I thought I shouldn't disturb your peace, whether in the name of pain, kinship, or blood ties."

Hong admitted that ever since deciding to seek the truth, he had let hatred and the pursuit of revenge take over his life. He knew that to get revenge, he had to be prepared to pay the price, no matter how high it might be.

At the end of the letter, Hong hoped that whether the two brothers met again or not, Thanh would still live a peaceful life, fully experiencing the sorrows, joys, and happiness of a free and decent person. He wrote:

"Live for him too."

And that was the touching conclusion of the letter.

After all that, Hong returned to his hometown to meet Diem. However, he was unexpectedly attacked by Tan "Khec," who stabbed him, causing Hong to collapse right at Diem's gate. In that critical moment, Hong wondered if, at that time, he had accepted the pain, let go of his hatred, and believed that God was watching, perhaps his life would have been different. He longed for his own happiness, for a day when he and his siblings could be reunited, but instead of choosing a life lived in the sunlight, he chose a solitary path. Hong thought:

"People like me can fall down at any moment."

Hong continued to ponder:

"My greatest regret remains the pain of losing my freedom and kindness. Forever alone in the darkness."

And then, Hong collapsed in Diem's arms.

Fortunately, Hong received timely medical attention, survived the critical condition, and her life was saved. After stabbing Hong, Tan "Khec" was sentenced to 36 months in prison. In addition, he was also ordered to pay for Hong's medical expenses and compensation.
