At the beginning of episode 36, the final episode of the series "The Lone Path," Long calls for someone to defuse the bomb in Hong's car. The bomb in the trunk is removed first, but this process is extremely difficult because the bomb is very complexly installed.

The old man informed Mr. Chuong that the goods would arrive at their destination at this time tomorrow. The man prepared to leave, but before that, he had to make sure everything went smoothly. Then, he called old man Cu again.

As time ran out, and Old Cu was nearing the meeting place, Hong urged Long and the bomb disposal expert to quickly get out of the car. Hong said, "One death is enough, let's not die together." However, Long didn't give up and remained determined to help.

At the same time, Old Man Cu saw someone approaching on a motorbike and realized something was wrong. He quickly shouted, "Retreat!" But at that very moment, the police swooped in and arrested everyone. The police ordered Old Man Cu to immediately call Old Man Quan to ask for the bomb disposal code.

Hong headed straight to a large cave, the hiding place of the old man, Quan. Both Long, the bomb disposal expert, and Hong received the bomb disposal code 9002 in their last 30 seconds. Hong closed her eyes, preparing to accept death as the bomb wrapped around her body. However, luckily, the bomb was defused just before the old man pressed the activation button.

At that moment, the police dispatched a patrol car. Realizing the dangerous situation, the old man quickly escaped from the cave.

Knowing the bomb had been defused, Hong removed it from his person and ran to find his younger brother. As soon as he met Khuong, before Hong could say anything, Khuong brushed him aside. Hong closed his eyes, ready for Khuong to strike, but Khuong couldn't bring himself to do it. He declared, "From now on, we are no longer brothers." Khuong threw the knife to the ground and left.

Hong grabbed the knife and ran to find the old man Quan. In Quan's room, Hong discovered a secret escape route, and he immediately followed it to chase after him. When Quan stopped to call his henchmen, "Catch me," Hong caught up. Quan immediately drew his sword and, while attacking, tried to persuade Hong: "Think again, we can come to an agreement, negotiate."

While Hong and Quan were fighting, Tien, sniping from a distance, shot Hong in the shoulder. Knowing he was about to die at the hands of the old Quan, Hong asked one last question: "Why did you kill my father?" The old Quan replied bluntly: "Le Toan only ordered me to teach your father a lesson, but I didn't just kill your father; I killed a few more people. I had to do that so I could be free, escape from Le Toan. I'm tired of being under his command."

The old soldier admitted, "I killed your father, and I should have killed both of you brothers too."

At that moment, Quân raised his sword, intending to attack Hồng: "I'll send you back to your two fathers." But Long managed to shoot Quân first.

Meanwhile, Tiến was aiming his gun at Long when K3 and his teammates intervened in time to stop him.

Before the final battle, Phung proactively admitted to Long about the diamonds that the old man Quan had bribed him with. He said:

Hong admitted that ever since deciding to seek the truth, he had let hatred and the pursuit of revenge take over his life. He knew that to get revenge, he had to be prepared to pay the price, no matter how high it might be.

After all that, Hong returned to his hometown to meet Diem. However, he was unexpectedly attacked by Tan "Khec," who stabbed him, causing Hong to collapse right at Diem's ​​gate.
