Couple drowned while swimming in the sea
On the morning of May 20, a tragic drowning accident occurred at Cua Lo beach (in Nghi Huong ward, Vinh city), killing 2 people.
At around 6am the same day, a couple went swimming early and were unfortunately swept into deep water with an underground current.
Upon discovering the incident, rescue forces quickly launched rescue operations. One victim was brought ashore after about 10 minutes in critical condition but later died.
The remaining person is missing, and authorities had to use a dragnet to search.
At around 8:30 a.m., the body of the second victim was found and brought ashore.
Currently, authorities are verifying information and coordinating with the victim's family to support the funeral.
