At that time, Cua gave Toan a package of pink methamphetamine to keep for personal use.

At this time, Toan was in a romantic relationship with Vi Ngoc Anh. Toan asked Anh to find customers for drugs. Therefore, Anh contacted Pham Hong Tai, residing in Thai Hoa town, to help find "customers".
On July 18, 2020, Anh and Toan met with Tai and his friend at a guesthouse. There, Toan and the "clients" agreed to buy 1 kg of drugs for 130 million VND.
When a "customer" wanted to buy drugs, Toàn contacted Của to get the "goods." Của promised Toàn 10 million dong. On the afternoon of July 19, 2020, Toàn drove Ánh to pick up the drugs, then hid them in a bush and arranged a meeting place to deliver them to Tài.
Upon arriving at the agreed location, Toan went to retrieve the drugs to deliver to Tai. When Toan returned, he was apprehended by the Quy Hop District Police, who seized 830.805 grams of drugs. Anh was also arrested shortly afterward.
At the trial, the defendants confessed to their crimes. Two of them stated that they conspired to traffic drugs out of greed. Notably, Toan had previously served 7 years in prison for a drug-related offense.
