Two young men who committed a robbery on National Highway 1A have been apprehended.

On April 16th, the Dien Chau Police announced that they had issued a decision to prosecute Cao Duc Cong and Nguyen Xuan Tuan for the crime of robbery.
Earlier on April 6th, while traveling on National Highway 1A, in the area of Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district, Ms. Chu Thi T., residing in Quy Hop town, was robbed by two young men on a motorbike at high speed. Her handbag contained 1.5 million VND in cash and a mobile phone, totaling 7 million VND in value.

Ms. Thao reported the incident to the BK20 Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police. Through coordinated investigation with the BK20 Department, on April 7th, the Dien Chau Police arrested Cao Duc Cong (born in 1996), residing in Yen Quang hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, and Nguyen Xuan Tuan (born in 2000), residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district.
At the police station, Cong and Tuan confessed that they needed money for personal expenses, so they conspired and carried out the robbery of Ms. Thao's handbag.
According to their statements, Cong and Tuan had previously committed numerous thefts in Dien Chau district. The district police have initiated a criminal case, charged the suspects, and will proceed with the trial as soon as possible.
