The leader of a large gambling den in Do Luong was caught.

On October 7, 2021, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) announced that the unit is temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Dong, residing in Block 01, Do Luong Town, Nghe An. This isringleader,operating a large-scale gambling den in Do Luong district.

Previously, on September 30, 2021, more than 50 officers and soldiers of the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police raided a gambling den in Hamlet 6, Trang Son Commune, Do Luong District, seizing 700 million VND, 05 cars and 16 motorbikes.

The gambling den was discovered to be located in a chicken farm owned by Nguyen Van Dong. This is a large-scale gambling den, very professionally organized.

In particular, Nguyen Van Dong's chicken farm, used by Nguyen Van Tu, Truong Xuan Thanh, and Nguyen Hai Dang to organize gambling, was protected by a barbed wire fence system and had guards. Regarding the destruction of the gambling den, the Criminal Police Department arrested 23 subjects for organizing gambling and gambling.

Regarding the destruction of the above gambling den, by the morning of October 3, 2021, under the direct direction of the provincial police leaders, units including the Mobile Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), Do Luong District Police supported and coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) to search the residence of 06 subjects in Do Luong town.

The subjects organizing and gambling, including: Nguyen Van Dong (born in 1980), Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1991), Truong Xuan Thanh (born in 1988), Nguyen Hai Dang (born in 1986), Nguyen Van Vinh (born in 1991) and Nguyen Trong Thai (born in 1988), the police force seized knives, swords, handcuffs, and compressed air guns that shoot lead bullets.

The above subjects were arrested by the police force, but Nguyen Van Dong (commonly known as Dong Lan) escaped. This subject was identified by the Criminal Police Department as the leader, organizing the entire gambling den in the chicken farm in Do Luong district. All activities of the gambling den were remotely controlled by Dong, requiring his "younger brothers" to organize gambling according to Dong's arrangements./.
