Subject carrying drugs, stabbed a mobile police officer and injured him

On November 14, the Mobile Police Regiment, Hanoi Police, announced that the unit is temporarily detaining Cao Duc Phu (37 years old, residing in Trung Van ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) for possessing a large quantity of pink pills.

Specifically, at around 11:40 p.m. on November 10, the working group of Company 1, Battalion 3, including Captain Nguyen The Dung, Lieutenant Nguyen Trong Giao, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Duy Hung and Lieutenant Le Trung Thanh, was on duty on Chien Thang Street (Van Quan Ward, Ha Dong District) when they discovered a young man walking, carrying a bag with many suspicious signs.

Immediately, the task force followed the subject. Realizing that the police were following him, the young man pulled out a knife and fought back, injuring Captain Dung. The man was then subdued by the police and his weapon was taken away.

Authorities searched Phu's bag and discovered nearly 1,600 ecstasy pills, 4 packages of white powder suspected to be drugs, and more than 60 million VND in cash.

Phu said that the entire quantity of goods was opium and heroin, and that the money was to pay for drug transactions. It is known that the subject had 3 previous convictions.
