On August 17, authorities took Le Dinh Son (26 years old, living in Binh Duong province) to the hospital in a state of multiple injuries and broken limbs due to being beaten by locals for stealing dogs.

According to initial information, at around 5:30 a.m. the same day, people in Tan Cang Hamlet (Phuoc Tan Commune, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province) discovered two subjects riding an Exciter 150 motorbike on Dinh Quang An Street carrying a dog bag and many devices used to steal dogs, so they shouted to arrest them.

Seeing the people rushing towards him, the young man driving the motorbike quickly accelerated and escaped. Son (sitting behind) fell onto the road. Although Son tried to run away, the people chased and caught up with him. Due to being so upset about the recent loss of dogs, many people beat Son seriously.
