Outraged by the recent surge in dog theft, some residents severely beat a dog thief.

On August 17th, authorities took Le Dinh Son (26 years old, residing in Binh Duong province) to the hospital for emergency treatment in a state of multiple injuries, including broken limbs, after being beaten by local residents for stealing dogs.

According to initial information, at around 5:30 a.m. on the same day, residents in Tan Cang hamlet (Phuoc Tan commune, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province) spotted two individuals riding an Exciter 150 motorbike on Dinh Quang An road, carrying a bag containing dogs and various tools used for dog theft, so they shouted and surrounded them.

Seeing the people rushing towards them, the young man driving the motorbike quickly sped away. Sơn (the passenger) fell to the ground. Although Sơn tried to escape, the people chased after him and caught up. Due to their anger over the recent increase in stolen dogs, many people beat Sơn severely.

Upon receiving the report, the authorities quickly arrived at the scene to document the incident and simultaneously took Son to the hospital for emergency treatment in a state of multiple injuries, bleeding from many places, and fractures in both arms and legs.

The incident is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
