The inmate who escaped from a prison in Nghe An has been apprehended.
After two days on the run, Tran Ngoc Hoa was arrested on the evening of August 20th.

According to Prison No. 6 (under the Department of Police for Prison Management, Compulsory Education Facilities, and Juvenile Detention Centers – Department C10, Ministry of Public Security), Tran Ngoc Hoa was arrested while hiding in a tree behind the communal house near the Education and Records Team, within the prison grounds, at 11:58 PM on August 20th.
Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper and Television, on August 18, 2025, the Warden of Prison No. 6 (under the Department of Prison Management, Compulsory Education Facilities, and Juvenile Detention Centers – Department C10, Ministry of Public Security) issued Wanted Notice No. 01/QDTN – TG No. 6 against prisoner Tran Ngoc Hoa, born in 1989, from Dien Tho commune, Dien Chau district (now Tan Chau commune, Nghe An province).
Tran Ngoc Hoa is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence for the crimes of intentionally causing injury and destroying property. The individual had served 6 years at Sub-camp No. 1, Prison No. 6 (located in Hanh Lam commune, Nghe An province) before escaping from custody at approximately 4-5 PM on the same day.
