(Baonghean.vn) - On November 20, the People's Committee of Thanh Hung Commune, Thanh Phong (Thanh Chuong) and the Phan Dinh clan solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition as a provincial-level historical relic for the Phan Dinh clan's church and Hau Han temple and tomb.

The Phan Dinh family in Thanh Hung commune has a history of nearly 800 years of development and has made many contributions to the homeland, of which the most notable are the contributions of the father and son Hau Giam and Hau Han who lived in the 13th century.

Mr. Hau Giam (name unknown) passed the doctoral exam in the 15th year of Thien Ung Chinh Binh (1246), was appointed as the Inspector General and the Commander of the Thirteen Dao Thua Tuyen. He had great contributions in recruiting people to establish villages, opening schools to teach children in the area, and was one of the people who laid the foundation for the tradition of studiousness in Thanh Chuong district.

Mr. Hau Han - Phan Dinh Sinh passed the doctoral exam in the year of Tan Hoi (1251) under King Tran Thai Tong and was appointed to the position of Academician at the Academy. In addition to his duties in the court, he also continued his father's work of promoting land reclamation, recruiting people to establish villages, and opening schools. After both father and son passed away, the villagers worshiped him as a god and built a temple to worship him.

Currently, the Phan Dinh family temple in hamlet 7, Thanh Hung commune and Hau Han temple in Ru Ro hamlet, Thanh Phong commune are spiritual architectural works with a long history. Of which, the Phan Dinh family temple consists of 3 buildings, Hau Han temple consists of 2 buildings, all are quite intact and bear the architectural imprint of the contemporary historical period.

At Phan Dinh family temple, there are 3 royal decrees from the Nguyen Dynasty canonizing Mr. Hau Giam, 1 royal decree from the Le Dynasty, and 4 royal decrees from the Nguyen Dynasty canonizing Mr. Hau Han.

With hundreds of years of history, Phan Dinh family church, Hau Han temple and tomb have been recognized by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee as provincial historical relics, by decisions: 3314/QD.UBND and 3315/QD.UBND signed on July 8, 2016./.
