The Cua Lo Port Border Guard Station assisted in rescuing the families of crew members whose ship sank, bringing them safely ashore.
Upon receiving the report, the Cua Lo Port Border Guard Station contacted nearby vessels to rescue the three crew members from the sinking ship, bringing them safely ashore.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Dung, Commander of the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, said that the unit had just provided assistance in rescuing and visiting the families of the fishermen on the fishing boat that sank in the early morning of February 12, 2026.
Specifically, at 3:15 AM on February 12, 2026, off the coast of Cua Lo, approximately 5 nautical miles east of Cua Hoi estuary, the fishing vessel NA-0062-TS, 12.7 meters long, captained and owned by fisherman Pham Dinh Anh, residing in Binh Quang block, Cua Lo ward, sank. There were 3 crew members on board. Immediately after the accident, the captain contacted for help, and the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station promptly contacted the nearest operating vessels to provide assistance.

Thanks to this, Mr. Pham Dinh Trung's fishing vessel NA-80179-TS from Cua Lo ward received the information and came to the rescue, bringing the three distressed crew members safely ashore at 4:30 AM the same day.
At 8:00 AM on February 12th, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van The - Political Officer, along with the task force of the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, visited and offered support and gifts to the families of the shipwrecked crew members, and guided the fishermen's families on methods for searching for their belongings.

Earlier, at 10:20 AM on February 11th, the fishing vessel NA-0062-TS departed from Cua Hoi estuary to fish at sea (using purse seine nets). Around 3:30 AM on February 12th, while en route to shore, approximately 5 nautical miles from Cua Hoi estuary, the vessel struck a reef and sank. Three crew members were rescued and brought ashore; their health is currently normal. The estimated damage to the vessel and fishing gear is approximately 150 million VND.
