(Baonghean.vn) - After assessing the situation of 20 suspected cases of glomerulonephritis in Hanh Dich commune, the Hanh Dich Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, promptly coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and schools to disseminate information about the symptoms, causes, and prevention of glomerulonephritis to students and residents in the area.

Recently, in Hanh Dich commune (Que Phong district, Nghe An province), there have been 20 suspected cases of glomerulonephritis. Of these, 17 are schoolchildren and 3 are local residents. To date, two children, Lo Van Hieu (12 years old, 7th grade student) and Lo Van Tuan (8 years old, 2nd grade student), residing in Cham Put village, Hanh Dich commune, have died. Of the remaining cases, 6 are currently receiving treatment at medical centers, and 12 have returned to school and work as normal.

In response to the situation, on February 21-22, the Party Committee and Command of Hanh Dich Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, promptly deployed forces to the area to assess the situation, visit, encourage, and offer condolences to the families of those who died; at the same time, they coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and schools to disseminate information about the symptoms, causes, and prevention of glomerulonephritis to students and people in the area.
According to the plan, Hanh Dich Border Guard Station will continue to deploy medical personnel directly to the remaining 10 villages to disseminate knowledge about glomerulonephritis so that people understand and encourage their relatives to take care of and protect their own health.
