The anti-aircraft strike of Vietnam's 105mm self-propelled artillery.
In addition to devastating ground attacks, Vietnam's 105mm self-propelled artillery can also launch terrifying anti-aircraft strikes against the enemy.
According to QPVN Channel, after a long period of successful testing, the Z751 Joint Enterprise has delivered the 105mm self-propelled artillery system, manufactured by the factory, to many artillery units throughout the army for training and familiarization with the new equipment.
The 105mm self-propelled artillery pieces delivered by Z751 Enterprise to combat units belong to the first generation of this type of artillery, using the Ural-375D chassis. Specifically, when integrating the 105mm artillery, Z751 Enterprise removed the vehicle's body and replaced it with a load-bearing working platform to serve as the gun's mounting surface.

In addition, this self-propelled gun is fitted with ladders for easy access and the vehicle is lightly armored to protect against shrapnel during combat. To counter airborne targets, Vietnam's 105mm self-propelled gun is also equipped with a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
Additionally, the gun carriages and wheels were removed as they were unnecessary. A hydraulic support system was used to withstand the force of the shot. This system also reduced operation time and lessened the workload for the soldiers.
In addition, it minimizes oscillations during firing, ensures high stability, significantly reduces deviations after each shot, and minimizes vibration, thus enhancing the durability of the artillery system.
This makes accessing and organizing training for the artillery crew to operate the gunners convenient and quick. And although the exact amount of ammunition carried is not disclosed, it is likely much larger than when using the original towed artillery.
Specifically, after being upgraded to a self-propelled gun, the gun crew was reduced to only 5 people, including the driver, the gun crew commander, and gunners number 1, 2, and 3. Gunners number 4, 5, 6, and 7 were eliminated so that gunner number 3 could take on their duties.
In addition to its powerful ground attack capabilities, the 105mm self-propelled artillery system can also deliver powerful anti-aircraft strikes with its 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
With this weapon, the gun crews not only effectively engage the enemy on the ground (both at long and short range) but also have the ability to defend themselves against enemy air attacks, especially in deploying air defense positions to engage low-flying aircraft and helicopters.
