Receiving the Certificate of Recognition as a Provincial-Level Historical Monument for Cao Son Temple
On April 12th, the People's Committee of Thanh Ngoc commune (Thanh Chuong district) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Certificate recognizing Cao Son temple as a Historical Monument.
The Cao Son Temple, located in Thanh Ngoc commune, is a place of worship for the deities Cao Son and Cao Cac. According to local historical records, the temple was built during the Nguyen dynasty, but was dismantled in 1957 to make way for public works. In 1970, the local people and authorities restored the monument by relocating the frame of the My Ngoc village communal house for reconstruction.
According to the inscription on the wooden plaque, the frame of the My Ngoc village communal house was made during the Nguyen dynasty, in the second year of the Bao Dai reign (1927).

Despite numerous renovations and restorations, Cao Son Temple has retained its original location. Currently, the temple is situated within the grounds of the Thanh Ngoc Commune People's Committee, comprising the following components: the temple gate, the temple courtyard, and a five-bay, two-gable shrine, covering a total area of over 80m².

Every year, Cao Son Temple hosts many traditional festivals such as: the Opening Ceremony on the 7th day of the first lunar month; the First Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month…
Along with other relics in the area such as Yen Lac Thuong Palace, Bui Son Temple, Bach Y Temple, Duc Thanh Ca Temple, Duc Thanh De Nhi Temple, etc., Cao Son Temple forms a rich complex of relics, meeting the cultural and religious needs of the local people.

With its outstanding historical, cultural, and spiritual values, Cao Son Temple has been recognized as a Provincial-level Historical Monument by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, according to Decision No. 3616/QD-UBND, signed on December 27, 2024.
At the ceremony, representatives from the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the Certificate of Recognition for Provincial-Level Historical Relics to the leaders of Thanh Chuong district and Thanh Ngoc commune.
