Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.

As of now, Trump has won with 276 electoral votes. The Republican Party has gained control of both the House and the Senate.

Results from Real Clear Politics early on November 9th (US time) showed that Republican candidate Donald Trump and the Republican Party had achieved a complete victory in the 2016 election.

Specifically, Trump secured 276 electoral votes, convincingly defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, who received only 215 electoral votes. Thus, Trump will become the new occupant of the White House, the 45th president of the United States.

In the House of Representatives, the Republican Party won 231 votes, far exceeding the Democrats' 169 votes. The Republican Party will control the House for the next two years.
