US President Donald Trump has admitted that he is increasingly reluctant to negotiate with Iran.

"To be honest, I find it more difficult to reach an agreement with Iran," he told reporters on March 22.

He reiterated that the Iranian military should not have shot down a US drone. According to him, the US was prepared "for the worst," noting that Iran is in a difficult economic situation with inflation at 75%.

"I'll just sit and wait. Iran is a very poor country. Let's see what happens," he added.

On June 20, it was announced that a US drone that violated Iranian airspace had been shot down by the air force of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hormozgan province.

Then, on July 19, President Donald Trump announced that a US Navy ship had shot down an Iranian drone. According to the US leader, the drone was 900 meters from the US ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
