Catholic people in Nghe An share difficulties and stand together with the nation.
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2020, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee and Catholic parishioners made many contributions to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters, storms, and floods, accompanying and sharing the difficulties of their homeland. This was stated by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee at the Conference of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee.
On the afternoon of December 14th, in Vinh City, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee held its 7th Conference for the 2017-2022 term and celebrated the Feast Day.The Nativity2020.

Attending the conference were Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; and the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities, and towns.
In her welcoming remarks at the conference, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh expressed her joy at attending the Christmas celebration and extended her best wishes to the dignitaries, clergy, members of the Catholic Solidarity Committee, and all Catholics in the province, wishing them a warm, peaceful, happy, and blessed Christmas 2020.
The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also acknowledged and expressed sincere and profound gratitude for the contributions of the members of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee and the Catholic community throughout the province who have made many contributions in preventing and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters, storms, and floods, and in accompanying and sharing the difficulties of their homeland.
At the same time, it is hoped that through practical actions, religious leaders, clergy, members of the Catholic Solidarity Committee, and Catholic compatriots throughout the province will continue to uphold the tradition of patriotic emulation, walk alongside the nation, build a life of "good living and beautiful faith," "respect God and love the country," and always remain closely connected and work together with the people of the entire province to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws...

In 2020, the active participation ofCatholic Solidarity CommitteeIn Nghe An province, the Catholic community has strived to overcome difficulties, boldly transforming the economic structure, applying scientific and technological advancements to production, and introducing new high-yield and economically valuable crop varieties, contributing to increased output and productivity, averaging over 11 tons/ha/year.
Commercial service businesses and industry development continue to be boldly invested in by many households, generating high incomes, contributing to job creation, and increasing income. This, in turn, joins forces with Party committees and authorities at all levels to reduce the poverty rate and increase the number of well-off and wealthy households. In 2020, the percentage of well-off and wealthy households among the Catholic community was 53%, while the poverty rate decreased to 8%.

During the year,parishionersThey donated 14,534 m².2They cleared land, dismantled 8,400m of boundary walls, cut down 1,230 trees of various types, contributed 13,646 man-days of labor, and donated 12.6 billion VND to build 100 km of new rural concrete roads. This contributed to making the appearance of their homeland increasingly beautiful and clean, helping 125 communes with Catholic communities meet the standards of new rural communes.
The Catholic Solidarity Committees have encouraged the parish community to effectively implement movements to build "Peaceful Parishes," "Solidarity in Building New Rural Areas," learn from good examples and good deeds, care for the cause of education, and preserve and promote good moral values.
