The Thai ethnic people celebrate the National Unity Day.

Ban Bong, located on the left bank of the Con River in Thanh Son commune, was divided into two hamlets (Hamlet 6 and Hamlet 8) in 2010. In 2018, following the policy of merging administrative units, the two hamlets merged back into Ban Bong, with a total of 214 households (910 inhabitants). The main source of income for Ban Bong is agricultural production, and the people are always enthusiastic and confident in the leadership and management of the Party committee and the government at all levels.

Over the years, the Front Committee in Bong village has consistently done a good job in building national unity, improving the effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people to consolidate and promote the strength of national unity. At the same time, they have promoted economic development, helped each other to alleviate poverty, and focused on building a better cultural life, education, and healthcare for the people.

In 2018, the Front Committee mobilized the people of Bong village to contribute nearly 56 million VND, nearly 130 days of labor, and donate 1,550 m² of land.²Land was used to build 1km of rural road. At the same time, cultural, artistic, and sports activities were consistently maintained and developed. During the year, 184 households received the title of "Cultural Family," and 38 households received the title of "Sports Family" (including 19 exemplary cultural families and 14 exemplary sports families), helping Bong village maintain its status as a "Cultural Village."

In addition, the people of Bong village actively participate in environmental protection, building a green, clean, and beautiful village landscape, ensuring social order and safety; promoting democracy, and contributing to building a strong grassroots political system.

In 2019, Bong village continued to promote economic development associated with building new rural areas, striving to achieve an income of 21 million VND/person/year. They were determined to maintain security and order, effectively implement the "Day for the Poor" campaign, and promote the "Gratitude and Repayment" movement, helping families facing difficulties and hardships.

On this occasion, the leaders of Anh Son district donated 5 gifts and Thanh Son commune donated 10 gifts to poor families facing difficult circumstances in Bong village. The Organizing Committee also presented gifts to households that achieved the titles of Exemplary Cultural Family and Exemplary Sports Family.
