Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai has been assigned to the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee.

Attending the conference were: Comrade Luong Cuong - Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party; Comrade Le Minh Hung - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Organization Department; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Chairman of Hanoi City Tran Sy Thanh, and other leaders of Hanoi City and its departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, announced Decision No. 1379-QDNS/TW of the Politburo on the assignment of Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department - to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Comrade Luong Cuong, Member of the Political Bureau and Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, presented the Decision of the Political Bureau to Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, appointing her as Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Luong Cuong stated that the Politburo had reached a high level of consensus on the assignment, transfer, and appointment of Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department - to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On behalf of the Politburo, Standing Committee Secretary Luong Cuong congratulated Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai on being entrusted with a new nhiệm vụ (task/responsibility) by the Party. Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai is a capable cadre with a solid educational background and extensive experience in Party building, especially in inspection and auditing work. She possesses a scientific and democratic working method, upholds principles, has risen through the ranks from the grassroots level, and has held many positions at both the central and local levels. In all her positions, she has always strived to excel in her assigned tasks, making significant contributions to the overall achievements of her locality, agency, and unit.

According to Standing Committee member Luong Cuong, the Politburo's assignment and trust in entrusting this new task to Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai is a recognition and appreciation from the Party, and at the same time, a heavy responsibility entrusted to her by the Party. Therefore, she needs to be truly resolute, decisive, strive to improve herself, stay close to the grassroots, quickly grasp the situation, and together with the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Board of the Hanoi City Party Committee, maintain high unity and focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee.

Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Luong Cuong expressed confidence that Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai will excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, meeting the requirements and expectations of the Party Committee, cadres, Party members, and people of Hanoi.

Comrade Luong Cuong suggested that the comrades in the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and leaders at all levels and sectors should strengthen unity and solidarity, share responsibilities with Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai to shoulder common tasks, quickly stabilize the internal situation, focus on mobilizing all resources, and lead and direct the effective implementation of the local political tasks, creating comprehensive development in all fields.

Let's continue to unite and build a more developed capital city.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee expressed his honor to receive the Politburo's decision from the Standing Committee of the Central Party Secretariat, assigning and appointing him to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully thanks the Politburo, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and the leaders of the Party and State for their attention and trust in entrusting her with the great responsibility of leading the Hanoi City Party Committee.

"I am deeply aware that the task assigned by the Party is both an honor and a heavy responsibility, given the high demands for economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security; and the high demands for Party building in a city that is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country, a city with a thousand years of history, the capital - the heart of the nation," emphasized Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

The new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, stated that, continuing to inherit and build upon the achievements of the city and the 94-year tradition of the Capital's Party Committee, in her new position, she pledges to make every effort, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, maintain principles, and together with the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, and the entire political system of the Capital, uphold the tradition of unity and solidarity, seize opportunities, leverage collective intelligence, courage, and creativity, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, contributing to the nationwide determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

To accomplish these tasks, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Central Party Committee, directly and regularly from the Politburo and the Secretariat, especially from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other Party and State leaders; veteran comrades, former leaders; and the coordination of central committees, ministries, and agencies, as well as local Party committees and governments, with the Party Committee and government of the City and with herself personally.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her hope that the City Party Committee, agencies, units, and all cadres, Party members, and people of Hanoi would support and cooperate to help her successfully fulfill her nhiệm vụ of leading the Party, government, military, and people of Hanoi in building a more prosperous, civilized, and modern capital city, as set forth in the goals of the 17th City Party Congress.
