Comrade Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Pu Mat National Park, has been appointed Director of Pu Mat National Park.

In Decision No. 1396/QD-UBND dated June 6, 2024, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province decided to appoint Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Pu Mat National Park, to the position of Director of Pu Mat National Park for a term of 5 years.

Comrade Le Anh Tuan was born on September 1, 1971. His hometown is Long Xa Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province. His professional qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Economic Management. His political theory level is advanced. His state management qualifications are at the senior specialist rank.

From May 1989 to October 1992, he was a worker at the Nghe Tinh Forest Products Processing Enterprise; from October 1992 to April 1994, he was a worker at the Nghe An Forest Resource Protection Center.

From April 1994 to December 1995, he was a forest ranger at the Do Luong Forest Products Inspection Unit, Nghe An Province.

From December 1995 to December 1999, I was a Forest Ranger at the Vinh - Hung Nguyen Forest Products Inspection District, Nghe An Province.

From December 1999 to February 2001, I was a Forest Ranger at the Quynh Luu Forest Ranger Station, Nghe An Province.

From March 2001 to April 2003, I was the Treasurer of Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province.

From April 2003 to May 2009, he served as Deputy Head of the Finance and Planning Department, Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An Province.

From May 2009 to December 2017, he served as Head of the Finance and Planning Department of Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province, and from January 2018 to April 2024, he was the Deputy Director of Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province.

From April 2024, he served as Deputy Director in charge of Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province, when the Director of Pu Mat National Park, Tran Xuan Cuong, was appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism.

Pu Mat National Park, located in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province, is a public service unit directly under the People's Committee of Nghe An province; it is subject to professional and technical management by provincial-level specialized agencies and competent authorities as prescribed by law.

The park's mission is to conserve natural resources, protect biodiversity and cultural, historical, and landscape values ​​within its boundaries; conduct scientific research and international cooperation; educate, raise awareness, and promote understanding of nature conservation and ecological environment protection among the community; and maintain the protective function of forests within the park's geographical area.

Pu Mat National Park is located within the administrative boundaries of three districts: Anh Son, Con Cuong, and Tuong Duong. The southern boundary of the National Park runs along the Vietnam-Laos border and is part of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO on September 18, 2007.

The Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve is the largest terrestrial biosphere reserve in Vietnam, located within the administrative boundaries of 9 western districts of Nghe An province (Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Tan Ky, Anh Son).

The Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve covers an area of ​​1,299,795 hectares, including a core zone of 168,301 hectares (Pu Mat National Park, Pu Huong and Pu Hoat Nature Reserves), a buffer zone of 608,547 hectares, and a transition zone of 522,947 hectares.
