Comrade Le Minh Hung was elected to the position of Prime Minister of the Government.

With 495 out of 495 National Assembly delegates voting in favor, the 16th National Assembly passed a resolution electing Comrade Le Minh Hung - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Organization Department - to the position of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the term 2026-2031.

At its first session, held on the afternoon of April 7th, the 16th National Assembly elected the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2026-2031 term.

Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, was elected by the 16th National Assembly to serve as Prime Minister for the 2026-2031 term.

With 495 out of 495 National Assembly delegates voting in favor, the 16th National Assembly passed a resolution electing Comrade Le Minh Hung - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Organization Department - to the position of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the term 2026-2031.

After being elected, the new Prime Minister Le Minh Hung took the oath of office as required.

"Under the sacred red flag with a yellow star of the Fatherland, before the National Assembly and the people and voters of the whole country, I, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, solemnly swear: To be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the People, to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to strive to fulfill the duties entrusted to me by the Party, the State, and the People," Prime Minister Le Minh Hung swore.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung delivered his inaugural speech to the National Assembly.
