Comrade Tran Thi My Hanh holds the position of Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.
The Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had a Director and 6 Deputy Directors when it was established.
On the morning of March 3rd, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to announce the resolution of the Provincial People's Council establishing specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and decisions on personnel matters.
Resolution No. 07/NQ-HĐND, dated February 25, 2025, of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, resolves to establish the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the basis of merging the Department of Culture and Sports and the Department of Tourism.
Accordingly, in Decision No. 587/QD-UBND, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, appointed Comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports (before the merger), to the position of Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also decided to appoint 6 Deputy Directors of the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including:
Appointing Comrade Quách Thị Cường - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports (before the merger), to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An Province.
Appointing Comrade Hoang Van Phuc - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports (before the merger), to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An Province.
Appointing Comrade Bui Cong Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports (before the merger), to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An Province.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An, formerly Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism (before the merger), is appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.
Appointing Comrade Tran Xuan Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism (before the merger) - to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.
Comrade Nguyen Ba Hao, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, has been transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.

Before the merger, the two agencies had 13 departments within the merged agency; including 7 departments of the Department of Culture and Sports, 5 departments of the Department of Tourism, and 1 department of the Department of Information and Communications. After the reorganization and merger, there are now 9 departments, a reduction of 4 departments, equivalent to a 30.7% decrease. Specifically:
The Office of the Department of Culture and Sports and the Administrative and General Affairs sector of the Department of Tourism will be merged into the Office of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Inspectorate of the Department of Culture and Sports and the Inspectorate of the Department of Tourism were merged, and civil servants transferred from the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications were incorporated to form the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Planning and Finance Department of the Department of Culture and Sports, the Planning sector of the Planning and Resource Development Department, and the Finance and Accounting sector of the Office of the Department of Tourism are merged into the Planning and Finance Department.
The Department of Cultural Management and the Department of Building a Cultural Lifestyle and Family, both under the Department of Culture and Sports, will be merged into the Department of Cultural and Family Management.
The Travel Management Department and the Accommodation Management Department under the Department of Tourism were merged and simultaneously renamed the Tourism Management Department.
Retain the following departments: Cultural Heritage Management; Sports Management; Information - Press - Publishing. The Tourism Resource Management and Development Department (formerly the Planning & Resource Development Department of the Department of Tourism).
Before the merger, the two departments had 10 subordinate units (belonging to the Department of Culture and Sports); they also received officials in the field of tourism promotion from the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion. After the merger, there are now 9 units, a reduction of 1 unit, equivalent to a 10% decrease. Of these:
The Nghe An Museum and the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum will be merged; the proposed name after the merger is the Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum.
The Heritage Management Board took over the functions and tasks of information dissemination, promotion, and tourism advertising, and reorganized itself into the Center for Heritage Conservation and Tourism Development (which included the recruitment of tourism promotion officials from the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion).
The following facilities remain unchanged: the Sports Training and Competition Center; the Sports Gifted High School; the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh Square and the Ho Chi Minh Monument; the Provincial Cultural Center; the Kim Lien Historical Site; the Provincial Library; and the Nghe An Traditional Arts Center.
