Supporting young entrepreneurs

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 15th, in Vinh City, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and the youth and children's movement in the first six months of 2016 for the North Central region.

Attending and chairing the conference were comrades: Nguyen Long Hai - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Comrade Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, presided over the conference.

At the conference, delegates representing the North Central provinces reported on the results of the Youth Union's work and youth movements in the first six months of 2016. They also participated in discussions, contributed ideas, and reported on successful models and innovative approaches from their provinces regarding youth movements in building new rural areas and volunteering for community life.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - delivered a welcoming speech at the conference.

In Nghe An province in particular, the Youth Union's work and youth movements have seen many positive changes. Political and ideological education, as well as traditional education, have been widely organized with diverse and rich content and forms. The movement to spearhead socio-economic development and national defense has been implemented in conjunction with youth projects and activities, attracting a large number of Youth Union members to participate.

The youth-run livestock farm is proving effective in Hung Nguyen.

In coordination with the Central Youth Union, the 2016 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign was organized with 5,000 members participating. Volunteer activities focused on community life; volunteering to help people in disadvantaged areas and poor households; responding to climate change; and providing medical care were carried out practically and effectively.

Youth Union members from the Nghe An Business Sector participated in a blood donation drive.

Participating units discussed the following topics: Youth entrepreneurship, proposing mechanisms and policies to support youth in starting businesses, and addressing youth employment issues in the North Central region. Volunteer activities and social welfare were also discussed.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Long Hai - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union - acknowledged and highly appreciated the Youth Union's activities of the units, while emphasizing: It is necessary to replicate the good models and practices of the units; further promote the role of youth volunteers for community life and the movement for self-improvement and career development…

This afternoon (June 15th), the 2016 North Central Region Advanced Youth Festival, following President Ho Chi Minh's example, will take place in Vinh City.
