Economic development drivers of women's association members in Do Luong
As a member of the Do Luong District Women's Union, and having been recognized and commended by the organization in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025, the Director of Hang Moon Herbal Import-Export Company is even more confident in developing and expanding the production of products from local agricultural produce.
On June 9th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, Director of Hang Moon Herbal Import-Export Company, was invited to attend the 5th Conference honoring outstanding individuals of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union, covering the period 2020-2025.

"Emulation is patriotism, and patriotism requires emulation" is one of the key areas of focus that the Provincial Women's Union has effectively implemented with many meaningful emulation movements over the past five years. Through these movements, women's unions at all levels in Nghe An have supported capacity building for 156 women business owners, 801 women household business owners, and 29 women cooperative managers; provided training, consulting, networking, and access to information and markets for 570 women-owned businesses; and supported the establishment of 41 new women-owned businesses.

According to Thai Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the Do Luong District Women's Union, this conference honored two exemplary women from Do Luong district, representing many dynamic and hardworking women in economic development.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang stated that, with the desire to bring consumers purely natural, safe, and gentle herbal products, while preserving and promoting local traditions and medicinal plants, she established Hang Moon Herbal Import-Export Company focusing on processing OCOP-certified products from local farmers' produce. To date, after three years, the company has consistently produced seven products that have received provincial-level 3-star OCOP certification.

The company's agricultural processing and trading activities have contributed to creating stable jobs for 8 local workers, with an average income of 5 million VND per month. These workers are also members of the Women's Association of Lam Son commune and actively participate in local movements.
Currently, in addition to OCOP-certified products, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang has researched and launched a new product processed from purple perilla leaves.
Purple perilla is a familiar plant to people not only in Lam Son. The company has consistently produced many products extracted from the essence of perilla, such as perilla bud tea, perilla herbal shampoo and body wash, perilla and ginseng facial cream, etc. In addition, because the company's purple perilla is grown organically, without the use of chemicals, and combined with a special plant variety, we want to offer customers a line of perilla tea bags with a distinct, rich, and pure flavor, meeting consumers' health care needs.
In early June 2025, Hang Moon Herbal Import-Export Company launched its purple perilla tea bags. This is part of the company's plan and strategy to exploit the value of herbs and expand its product range from purple perilla.

Ms. Thai Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the Do Luong District Women's Union, said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, a member of the Lam Son Commune Women's Union (Do Luong), has grown and built her company through patriotic emulation movements implemented by the Women's Union at all levels. And to this day, not only Ms. Hang, but also other members in Do Luong district have received the support and companionship of the Women's Union at all levels in their economic development journey. At the conclusion of the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang was one of two exemplary individuals in Do Luong district to be commended. Currently, the district Women's Union is guiding and supporting members in developing their economy towards green, clean, and safe agriculture, linked with deep processing and enhancing the value of agricultural products, as Hang Moon Herbal Import-Export Company is currently doing.
