In early March 2024, through intelligence gathering, the Tan Ky District Police discovered a group of individuals regularly gathering to gamble for money using the "xoc dia" (dice shaking) method in the mountainous forest area of Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district (bordering Quy Hop district). To effectively combat this group, the Tan Ky District Police established a special task force.

However, because the suspects usually organize gambling in deep forests, with tight security arrangements and the ability to alert the gamblers to flee in time upon spotting law enforcement, the pursuit is extremely difficult.

After more than half a month of persistent surveillance, determined pursuit, and employing various professional methods, at 4 PM on March 15, 2024, in the mountainous forest area of Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district police mobilized 3 task forces with more than 30 officers and soldiers to simultaneously raid a gambling den, arresting 11 suspects and seizing 86.5 million VND, 6 motorcycles, 15 mobile phones, 1 double plastic mat, 1 set of bowls and plates, and 4 gambling tokens.
