Police raided a farm and arrested 18 people for gambling.

On March 11, 2022, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Public Security announced that it was temporarily detaining 18 individuals for investigation into gambling and organizing gambling activities.
Accordingly, recently, through intelligence gathering and suspect management, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a professional "Gambling and Gambling Organization" ring operating in a mobile manner, causing significant problems in Dien Chau district.

Notably, the gambling locations chosen by these individuals are often solidly built structures or large, isolated farms situated in the middle of fields far from residential areas, with little traffic, making them easy to observe and escape from if detected. Gamblers have their phones confiscated, and gambling sessions last approximately two hours, with lookouts assigned throughout the operation.
During the investigation, the police determined that this group of suspects was led by To Ngoc Phap (born in 1995), residing in Dien Lien commune, Dien Chau district. This individual has a bad reputation and employs many tricks to evade law enforcement.

On March 7, 2022, after identifying a group of individuals organizing and participating in gambling at the farm of Pham Khac Loc (born in 1984), in Dien Lien commune, Dien Chau district, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with Dien Chau District Police, conducted an arrest and search of 18 individuals, including 14 men and 4 women aged 23-50, for gambling activities organized by To Ngoc Phap.
At the scene, the police seized 205 million VND in cash from the gambling table; 20 mobile phones; and a set of bowls, plates, and gambling tokens.
The Criminal Investigation Department is currently continuing its investigation, verification, and expansion of the case to apprehend the remaining suspects.
