Concluding their journey at the SEA Games 33, the Vietnamese futsal team returned home and immediately set their sights on a major goal at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.

On the afternoon of December 20th, the Vietnamese futsal team returned home, concluding their participation in the 33rd SEA Games. The entire team was divided into two groups, traveling to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to return to their respective clubs, continue training, and prepare for upcoming plans.

According to the draw results, the Vietnamese futsal team is in Group B along with defending runners-up Thailand, Kuwait, and Lebanon.
