The Anh Son new urban area project is continuing to be implemented.
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Anh Son district have complained about the slow progress of the new urban area project in Anh Son town and requested that the project be revoked to avoid waste.
Regarding this matter, the People's Committee of Anh Son District responded as follows:
a) The process of inspection and working with the investor (Song Lam Sugar Corporation)
- On-site inspection of the Project area: Upon inspection, it was found that from the beginning of April 2016 until now, the investor has been carrying out the land leveling work.
- Working with the investor's representative: During the meeting, the investor provided relevant legal documents and explained the project progress as follows:
+ Legally: Since 2011, the Anh Son New Urban Area Project, invested by Nghe An Petroleum Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company No. 1, has been granted Investment Certificate No. 27111000094 dated August 9, 2011.

In March 2015, the investor was transferred to Song Lam Sugar Corporation, approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1481/UBND-XD dated March 19, 2015. The Provincial People's Committee approved the adjustment of the detailed construction plan at a scale of 1/500 for the urban area in Anh Son district, Nghe An province in Decision No. 1809/QĐ-UBND-XD dated April 26, 2016.
Regarding the project implementation timeline: According to Investment Certificate No. 1577511348, reissued on December 7, 2015 by the Department of Planning and Investment, the project's basic construction was to be completed by November 2019, and it officially commenced operations in December 2019.
Regarding the project's progress: Due to the unfavorable fluctuations in the real estate market, the change of the investor, and the need to adjust the detailed construction plan, the project's implementation progress has been slower than expected by voters and residents in the area.

However, from the beginning of April 2016 until now, the investor has accelerated the implementation progress and completed the land leveling work (reaching about 1/3 of the required volume) to carry out the next construction items; the investor commits to completing the compensation and land clearance for the remaining area and constructing the project items on schedule according to the Investment Certificate issued by the Department of Planning and Investment on December 7, 2015.
b) The viewpoint of the Anh Son District People's Committee
We request that the Urban Area Project in Anh Son District not be revoked as requested by the voters, because:
- The project is being implemented by the investor according to schedule;
- Currently under basic construction (according to the issued Investment Certificate, it will be completed in November 2019).
- Upon completion, the project will contribute to socio-economic development in the area and create a civilized and modern appearance for the central area of Anh Son district.
| The Anh Son urban area project is planned with a total area of 80,522 m2, located in Hoc Bong area, Hamlet 3, Thach Son commune and Block 6A, Anh Son town; bordered to the North by residential areas and rice fields of Thach Son commune; to the South by residential areas of Anh Son town and National Highway 7; to the East by rice fields of Thach Son commune; and to the West by a planned 36m road.The project is invested by Song Lam Sugar Corporation, with a total investment of 135 billion VND. Its function is a low-rise residential area, fully constructed to ensure the best living conditions for residents. The projected population size is 1,000 to 1,200 people. |
