The LEGO Portal 2 Test Chamber Creator project has reached the important milestone of 2,000 endorsements.
A 1,280-piece model kit simulating the game Portal 2 has just surpassed 2,000 backers, boasting a unique modular design and iconic characters like Chell and Atlas.
The LEGO Ideas project, "Portal 2: Test Chamber Creator," has just officially surpassed 2,000 supporters on LEGO's community platform. This building set, inspired by Valve's popular puzzle game, features a modular design that allows players to flexibly recreate test chambers.
Modular design and practical operating mechanism
The kit includes 1,280 pieces, focusing on high customizability. The technical highlight of this project is its modular structure, allowing players to disassemble and rearrange components to create different test chambers, similar to the mechanics in the game. Notably, the kit also integrates real-world working mechanisms inside, providing a highly interactive experience rather than just a static display model.

The emergence of iconic figures
In addition to the lab structures, the project also includes the full cast of main characters that made the Portal game series famous. Fans will find minifigures of the main character Chell, along with familiar robots such as Atlas, P-body, and the Wheatley AI core. Including these characters not only increases collectible value but also allows users to recreate classic puzzle-solving scenes.
Roadmap to official commercial product
Currently, the project has approximately 540 days to reach its goal of 10,000 supporters – a prerequisite for entering the in-depth evaluation phase from LEGO. If it passes the feasibility and licensing review, "Test Chamber Creator" has the opportunity to become an officially licensed commercial product by Valve.
The rapid growth in the number of voters shows that the community still has a special interest in classic game brands. With the current momentum, the project is expected to soon reach the next milestones and be present on store shelves in the future.
