Pepper price forecast for December 21, 2025
The forecast for pepper prices on December 20, 2025, is expected to fluctuate between 146,500 and 148,500 VND/kg, with variations across regions. In Gia Lai and Binh Phuoc, prices are expected to be around 146,500 VND/kg. Ba Ria - Vung Tau may maintain around 147,000 VND/kg, while Dak Lak and Dak Nong will see higher prices, closer to 148,500 VND/kg.
On the world market, pepper prices are predicted to fluctuate, rising and falling depending on the production region and the import demand of major markets.
For pepper growers, the current focus should be on controlling costs and maintaining existing plantations. Expanding to new areas is not yet feasible given the high prices of fertilizers and labor. Sustainable farming practices, reducing chemical fertilizers and increasing the use of organic farming, will help lower costs and improve quality. Households with stable finances can consider selling in batches to avoid pressure from a sudden surge in supply.
For businesses, diversifying markets and products is crucial. Increasing the proportion of clean, organic pepper and deeply processed products helps increase value, as sustainably produced peppers usually command higher prices than conventional ones. Simultaneously, closely monitoring exchange rate fluctuations, transportation costs, and signing flexible contracts will help reduce risks and create advantages when the market recovers.
